BS readings

I've been painting today - emulsioning the kitchen. This seemed to have caused my pre-lunch level to be high and consequently my post lunch

Bedtime 4.8
fasting 5.3
pre-lunch 6.1
after 1hr 6.7
after 2hrs 6.7
after 3hrs 15mins 6.7
I think my meter has stuck :D

I haven't been testing constantly over the last few days, just randomly during the day as I've been stressed and busy. I've been in the mid 5's all along. Both during the day and in the mornings. Had a coffee with milk and natvia yesterday afternoon, BG's went to 6.8... not having that anymore.
 
What should I make of these readings:

Predinner 6.0

@ 1 hour. 7.1

@ 90 mins 6.6

@ 2 hours 7.2, 6.7 and 5.9 ! Dodgy strips again?

Being in the mid 5's from morning till night is very good and normal. I know you are used to lower numbers, but with stress you can expect them to be a bit raised. Milk can be dodgy, and so can caffeine.
 
It's unlikely to have gone up by the 2 hour mark, so I would average the 6.7 and the 5.9 and take that. It happens.

I would say less likely to have risen again at the 2hour mark, but I have seen it reported, with the usual Italian/Chinese meals. I understand those are the sorts of things folks are discovering on the Libre Freestyle system (and obviously CGMs too). I can't wait until they start selling them again to new customers. Il be having a go!

@Lynn1 - did your meal have a fair fat content, but also carbs?

Yes. Had a couple of Black Farmer sausages, a couple of tiny new potatoes and the tiniest portion of peas. Followed by a couple of small profiteroles minus chocolate topping.

How long did it take to consume both courses? If it was a while, or you had a brief pause between courses, I wonder if you did actually have two rises; one from each course?

That's speculation on my part as I so rarely have desert to have much personal insight.

I had dessert immediately after my main course. When I do eat dessert, I try to keep the courses close to avoid skewing test results.

From memory, I think I got the profiterole idea from you when you were clearing your freezer, prior to travelling abroad. Does my memory serve me correctly?

5.5 after lunch yesterday and my new found 100% snags .... are they are fantastico !!! Finally something different !!

As for fasting this morning, a nice 5.5 again

Like your "sarnies" mate.

Just joking .... "snags" is Aussie slang for sausages. No preservatives, no grains, no sugars, no additives. Gorged on them yesterday :)
