BS readings

Bacon and eggs are yummy and eggs have good omega 3.

Poached eggs on spinach.... Yummy!!

I eat these as main dinner meals!!

Also though.. It depends on the total carbs that you are wanting for a whole day... Putting it in balance.. I don't know how many carbs in sausages.. But if you having say tuna and beetroot for dinner why panic about the carbs in a couple sausage??

what did you eat for lunch such a good drop? :))

i tried weetabix in the early days and found my BS levels rose dramatically
i often have 2 sausages or bacon for breakfast
Ally- I love "black farmer" gluten free sausages in Morrison's! Less than 1gm carb per sausage! Often have them with mushrooms for breakfast!!

bluetit all i had for breakfast was sugarfree orange jelly

for lunch i had beetroot, tomatoes, piece of cheese and tuna

Ally you honestly can eat really well low carb high fat and your readings will go down. Today I had
Breakfast 3 slices bacon mushrooms. And a fried egg

Lunch black farmers sausages. Salad a creamy dressing

Dinner. Spal bol made normally. With leek strips boiled. Tossed in butter. All low carb. Sugar free jelly is nice. But no nutrients? Not a breakfast to start your day?

I wonder if this is why your before lunch reading was quite high? Nothing wrong with the jelly, but it can't be very long lasting in your body, so you could have had a liver dump during the morning. Perhaps you could try it with some cream or full fat yogurt next time. Only a suggestion.

bluetit, i will try the cream or yoghurt

pre tea 7.5, thats the lowest its been since testing

on the 13th october, i,m being weighed at the gp surgery and the nurse will weigh me every month

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference sausages are generally quite low carb, particularly Toulouse style (if you like garlic) and Outdoor Reared Pork, which are both about 1 gram of carb per sausage. All meat and no rusk filler, hence they're more expensive, but you can get 2 packs of six for a fiver, which isn't too bad.

Black farmer just gone on offer at Morrison's- usually £2.99 for pack of 6, now £2!! Made me smile while shopping after work, breakfast tomorrow will be a couple of those and scrambled egg I think!

Well Ally 7.5 pre tea!! Whhooo hooooo!!!!

Whatever you ate for tea seems to have spiked you.... What did you eat for tea?

Ally these are the best results I have seen for somebody that was in serious s**t with their control. I apaud you :)

Do make sure you are eating some fat.... You will need more for the few carbs that you are eating... Don't be afraid to fry sausages or bacon with lard!! Eat cheese etc... Do please have enough fat and protein!!!!
