BS readings

Oh that's really good news. Well done ally1, I'm proud of you girl!:)Keep at it, you really are getting there.:)

When you look back at her readings its amazing. I so hope any newbies read these two threads and realise that although so many have beautiful low readings now. Its been a long hard slog to get there. Together with so much learning and testing..they will see @ally1 and mine and see that just 6 weeks ago we were getting readings in the high teens..and hopefully by teafing our trials and mistakes and reading all the help and support from you guys that they can do it too...its a lifestyle now. Lchf has worked for me so much. I now want to help pass on the word and try to encourage others now

Excuse spelling. My fingers very stiff this morning. MS doesn't like changes in temperature. Have to say as well that this diet seems to be affecting my ms. In a good way. Many symptoms esp my balance and leg stiffness are very much improved

That really has to be spectacular new Alliebee. My former SiL has MS, and I have see how it can be a struggle sometimes.

thank you for the recipe
pre tea 6.8 post tea 14.1:(
i had stew with a couple of potatoes in it and peas, never have that again
i wasn,t going to say what post tea was but decide to go for it

That 6.8 pre-tea is an amazing reading for you Ally, and now you have your lowest ever fasting level too.. Well done and take a bow. I a delighted for you. Just keep away from the spuds and peas!

now i know bread, potatoes and peas give me high readings, i,m going to keep away from them
now i have to tackle my portion sizes

Portion control was the key for me. I just made myself put less on my plate, and used my meter and a food diary to help me discover how much of what food I could manage. For example, cherry tomatoes. I had these with my salads but by testing and recording how many, I discovered I can manage 6 small ones. If I have big ones, or more than 6, I spike. I then added extra dairy fats to the salad to stop me feeling hungry afterwards.

You need to try them and test. I am fine with them, but then I'm not over keen on them so the portion is always small. Some people say they can tolerate them, whilst others can't have any veg that's grown underground.

are carrots ok to eat?
you will get a different affect depending on raw or cook. In fact when they are raw I tend to see lower numbers from everything else that I eat. I think it must be because of the amount of effort that goes into digesting them. Try them both ways test and decide is the only way really

I can only eat one med size Ally but I can eat them raw. Its strange. Also I can eat sweetcorn where many here can't so long as I have butter on them. But peas send me way up. Its honestly test test test. I'm ok with my home made sourdough rye bread but I can't eat burgen linseed anymore. Its down to how we are..I can't eat carbs at breakfast but can eat a few at lunch or dinner so long as I have butter or coconut oil with them. Coconut oilis a new thing I'm trying this week and it doesn't taste of anything

pre lunch 6.7 post lunch 7
i,m so pleased as these are my best results
i,m not a sweetcorn lover so will give them a miss

Ally well done! Yet again you have made my day! Keep on keeping on. I can't wait till your morning reading tomorrow.:)
