Yes, confidence is so important. I hope she wins her battle. The NHS is second to none in many fields. I have no complaints outside the diabetes field. Have a lovely time in York.

everything a bit crammed together today - late breakfast as up till 2 last night, then early lunch as Mr E late back from meeting so change of afternoon plans- not great spikes but I hate being in sixes before I eat. Dinner now early as we are out to cinema later. I will be so glad when junior goes back to uni tomorrow and i can go on bike when I like ( it's in his room) and eat at my usual times.

Another load of tripe from both my meters today (Codefree and Accu Chek Mobile)

The Codefree ranged from 5.2 to 6.6 with 2 readings at 6.6, and at the same time the Accu Chek ranged from 4.8 to 6.8, with 2 readings at 4.8.
This was before lunch and I would expect mid 5's normally, but it was an early lunch so could have been high 5's. This is getting ridiculous.

6.1 2 hrs 2 glasses of wine third on it's way, merlot, well it is Saturday Night!

Sounds really nice your food for the day, there's nought wrong there, no way would you get an 8.3 from that menu, but I've had lots of these all down to the need to wash hands. On the Accu check mobile it actually reminds you when testing each time "Now wash your hands" on the screen.

How i wish that was the case

3 hours post breakfast and I'm 7.9 after a 5.7 on rising with scrambled eggs and bacon. Still, as long as I don't hits the 8s.

Been in the 5's all day at work, had a very stressful day received very bad news my uncle had fallen on New Year's Eve and banged his head , he is now in a deep coma and just had life support turned off my bg is 16 could it be the stress? Dinner was cod and five chips 3 hours ago

Ohh so sorry to hear that. That high reading I would almost totally put down to stress ..... at least my opinion anyway

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Poor man. Your BG is almost certainly down to stress.

Your stress levels will almost certainly be impacting on your levels, but at times like this the odd high reading isn't really an enormous priority.

I hope today goes OK (whatever that means).
