BS readings

5.1 before walk
4.7 after walk and before lunch
5.3 2hrs after lunch :)

Back to normal then. Phew! After my similar weird experience following FF yogurt and a very few raspberries yesterday it took me till afternoon to see normal numbers because I was still above 6 before lunch. Back to normal today though.

A somewhat high 6 before dinner. that's an average as I refused to go with the 6.5 that batch 61 gave me. Surprisingly batch 44 was lower at 5,7 as was my last strip from pot 56 which was also 5.7. Partially a liver dump as it is over 7 hrs since I ate and partially stress. Had to zoom down to GP for out of hours appointment as covered in some sort of burning rash. Now I have to try and work out what is causing it as she says it is uriticaria. Really painful all over body- I'm suspecting the washing capsules from Aldi as I tried a Bio one for a change.

i had half a small frittata made with 2 eggs, a small baby red onion, 4 cherry tomatoes, 4 oz grated cheese, left over brocolli, for mushrooms, 1 clove of garlic and 2oz of red pepper. I was 10.2 at 1 hr and back down to 6 at 3 hours...I'm hoping it was just my liver being a little s.o.b.
Could have been the onion and tom's?

Wow those results are amazing after Two slices of bread and then a small piece of cake. Did you do lots of exercise today Daphne?
Not really. The car park is about 10 minutes walk from my office and I had to go up and down stairs a few times but no other exercise. I seem to be lucky in that i can eat bread and some cereals

Worked till 10 pm came home and made an omelet nice and cheesy
Bs 5.5 and at two hours 4.7
I hope my liver plays nice

Same 7.8 :-( in 5/6 range for the rest of the day just flaming mornings. Forgot my meter today as well. Oops.

ok well it seems my liver is definitely misbehaving again... but at least I know my frittata was okay - as I had the same breakfast as yesterday but with different results. :)

5.3 before bed
7.5 before breakfast/fasting
8.9 1hr after breakfast
7.5 2hrs after breakfast

Will go back to having a snack before bed and see if this will kick the little s.o.b. back into place and lower fasting readings.

Fasting 5.8 (61)
Post breakfast 5.3 (44)
Pre lunch 5.3 (44)
Post lunch 5.7
3hrs 5.3

I eat a lot of peas as I'm not a veggie lover but I do like peas and they are full of goodness. They do spike me if I have too many, but at an hour rather than 2 hours.

5.6 and saw the doc yesterday .... interesting comments from him regarding red wine sugars (he reckons they spike BS) didn't like me dropping statins and said EVERY heart specialist in Melbourne (including himself) takes them to keep cholesterols in check, told him my recent figures and made an appointment for the next 3 month check next week ... and he thinks that'll be it for metformin as far as I'm concerned, checked my finger trembling (which fortunately for me just happened to flare up during the visit) and wasn't greatly worried when I told him how I sleep with bent elbows and bent wrists ....

It sounds like a mixed appointment. He is wrong about red wine as most of the sugar disappears in the production process. There are no significant carbs in red wine (and therefore no significant sugars) so it can't spike you. Believe me, I know this ..... lots of drinking and testing has proved it :)

Good luck with your next lot of blood tests.

Thanks BT. :)

Yep, I explained it to him and he dared me to test it so I will at some point. I was very worried about the on / off finger trembling so I'm REALLY trying to change my sleeping position ... easier said than done at my age :) Last thing I wanted to hear was it was something more sinister but he's confident it'll pass with more arm / shoulder swinging.

Worked wonders the other nite though as had nothing at all for a good part of the day. Posture at a PC half the day doesn't help either but I do get up every 20 minutes and walk around. Feels like a pinched nerve half the time radiating down my arms

BP not so good ..... 170 .... and he hates seeing that .... but it was a hot day and with everything else on my mind, I was a little stressed. he's great though and took my mind of that arm sleeve by chatting about nonsense .... got it down to 162 .... he'd prefer 140 but meh, I've ALWAYS been around 145 in my pre T2 days

Mike
