BS testing

Ok my BS machine has arrived its set up ready to use!! Will I ever be able to prick my own finger? I've had to get my other half to do it for me today I'm such a wimp help please

If you are type 2 and not on insulin or other glucose lowering medication you might be able to consider alternate site testing (if the meter supports it). I test on my outer forearm mostly, rarely feel a thing! The only real issue is that you need to test 2.5 hours after meals instead of 2 hours as with finger prick testing.

It's the whole stabbing myself issue I can let other do it to me just can't press that button myself lol big baby that I am
 
Yeah side of the finger is best. I would hate someone else doing it for me, if you do it yourself you know when to expect it!

Just Sat for ten minutes trying to prick my finger gave up and let my husband do it lol
