Is buckwheat good for diabetics or not? Very confusing research. Any body heard of Dr Axe?

The phrase ‘good for diabetes’ is misleading.

The only way to find out if a certain food won’t cause a sugar spike is to eat it and test but it’s a grain so it’s likely going to cause a rise in BS and let’s face it, there are far tastier things to eat.

I tried it. It was disgusting. Even if it hadn't raised my bg levels I would not have it again. It looks like lawn grass seed but I suspect that LGS tastes better.

Buckwheat noodles ( soba) are a staple of japneses cooking - hot Or cold, with a dipping sause or soup. There are restaurants in Tokyo / Okinawa etc that specialise in nothing but soba
I can no longer tolerate them because of the BS rise but could earlier on in my journey with diabetes and for a lot longer than i could tolerate wheat based noodles / pasta
