I did go to buffet lunch recently
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/diabetes-uk-living-with-diabetes-days.68050/
Buffet lunch. Small plates.
An interesting combination.
A cous cous - herby and spicy
Tuna and French beans
Egg, potato salad
Dry cooked curry powder coated chicken strips
Baked jacket potatoes
Beef wraps
Sandwiches, brown/wholemeal bread.
Fresh fruit.
I'll eat most of that, although I did avoid the white sandwiches, wraps, and jacket potato, and had a small amount of the rest.
If there is nothing else, and I'm hungry, I'll normally go for the 'healthiest' option, but just eat a small amount, to minimise the GI/GL.
