Bumetanide

I have been taking Furosemide (diuretic) because I have a swollen foot and ankle. Nonetheless the swelling seems to be getting worse so I have now been prescribed Bumetanide instead. Both can raise bg. Has anyone had any experience of these two drugs and their effect on bg (and on oedema)?

furosimide, have a bottle at the ready prescribed by cardiologist, not taking any because ofadverse effects on blood sugars

Have you experienced Furosemide raising your bg, or are you just afraid it may? I hve been taking it for a while, and am not sure if it raises my bg or not. In any case it seems to have stopped working - hence the switch to Bumetanide. I m just a bit worried that if this works better it may also raise bg more.
