Omg, my existing injections (bydureon) have been discontinued, replacement sent today, look at the size, i can't use these, firstly don't understand instructions, secondly for someone with a needle phobia, they are just so big - 26cm!!! Has anyone else had these new ones, and can you use them easily?? I am too scared to!image.jpeg

You need to double check it has been discontinued as nothing on the www about it. Who told you it has been discontinued? If it were me I would be ringing the manufactures and checking it out.
I can't make out from the photo what you have been prescribed instead.

Hi. I would certainly check that Bydureon has been stopped as I've not seen anything on the forum about that. Ask your GP what's going on and I would not start ANY new medication without knowing what it is and what it's for and any side effects. Bydureon is normally prescribed when you have high excess weight. What sort of diet are you having as the right diet may even avoid the need for Bydureon and tablets may suffice.

Thanks, it was the pharmasist who rang me and told me it has been discontinued. I have made an appointment with diabetic nurse for next tuesday to discuss. Yes i am overweight but have lost 3 stone and keep losing but still have to take bydureon apparantly, very worried and not using till i see nurse, and even then, i won't be using as kit way too big
