"Bydureon was generally well tolerated. Related adverse events were generally mild to moderate including nausea and injection-site reactions. Bydureon was associated with a low incidence of hypoglycaemia except when added to a SU. Consider a reduction in the dose of the SU if used together.Patients switching from Byetta to Bydureon may experience transient elevations in blood glucose concentrations, which generally improve within the first 2 weeks after initiation of therapy." Quoted from pulsetoday.co.uk website.

Just information printed in the pulsetoday.co.uk magazine.. An info mag and website primarily for GP's but public can sign up and access too.

Don't know if any type 2's have swooped from Byetta, but worth noting....

I can understand the injection site reactions - it's a pretty big needle, fortunately it was just once a week. never had a reaction from byetta or bydureon, and now I think that's because it didn't really work for me.
