Does anyone else notice a spike after a coffee or am i the only one who have a sensitivity to caffeine… i need as much FB as possible… i need to know if i am the only one?

There is quite a plethora of information on the web, too much to allow me to succinctly put here. Commonly the evidence relies on more comprehensive information.
So, yes caffeine affects diabetes and sugar. Probably due to reduced insulin sensitivity.
Comprehensive information would be 1) How much caffeine per drink, 2) What dairy do you use in the drink, 3) What do you use to sweeten the drink?
More advice May be forthcoming.

I don't get any spike after coffee of any kind... caffeine, decaf, black, white, cream whatever... I don't add any sweetener or anything though.

Also mostly I have nespresso but have also had Kenko and nescafe...

It's been noted by a few authors writing on Diabetes (like Bernstein) that caffeine does affect some but not other type 1 diabetics. It seems it can affect blood sugar levels more or less directly, or by impacting digestion, the speed of it, etc. and therefore absorption of sugar into the blood etc.

The only thing I get is a belting headache if I have too many even with decaff. Oh and acts as a laxative - apparently :shy:
