Being type 1, my health and what really grates me are false people who make themselves out to be something when their not
Emailing DSN this afternoon and the insight Tenderlink isn't expect till a June release date she said even then give it a couple of months
So can someone who's on this pump tell me the options I've looked on sight and the Flex link looks ok but then so do the Rapids I don't want a gadget to insert it I'm more than capable. The tubing must be 100mm as I'll just get caught up in bed otherwise. I know donnellydogs uses the Rapids as she's lean . So what do I do?
Haven't even got the pump yet and I'm stuck at the easy bit hhhmmmmm!!

Hello, I have gone on to the insight today and I am using the insight flex 8 mm.
It is very comfortable I did use the insertion device but dsn said that you could insert it without. It is 70 cm long which has been fine for sleeping with I know that they come shorter and I am almost sure that they do a longer one.
Whilst at the hospital I placed my first order with accu check, they must have been busy as a lot of things were unavailable, including 6 mm canulers, battery covers and monitor diary.

Thanks for respondingthe flex does look the more favourable. I see you can insert it without the inserter which my DSN thinks would suit me.
Never had to worry about things like cannulas, sorry you've had a hiccup when ordering I've only ever had high regard for accu-Cheks ordering and dispatch

They now do the 100 mm tubes separately!!!! So no longer having to throw the 8mm flex sets away that used to be the only way I could get the 6mm rapid d 100cm tubes.

So now you play around to find whats suitable for you.

So just ask accuchek for sames and try both!!

The only thing I amaware of shortages for is the battery cover. However, the covers should last 6 months. They are not going on to back order though if they are not delivered.... So you would need to order again with your next order.

No idea about your cannulas, but to shorten tubing all you do is roll it like a hosepipe and put a bit of tape around it.

I'm using the same as @lisacp and having no issues. Out of interest why don't you want to use the device? I'm using it as its offered as a default and I find it pretty useful and easy to use

Hi blink, the device just brings bad memories of old injector guns for some strange reason nothing else
I like to have control of what I'm sticking in me and where

Lol that's a very valid reason, I haven't manually inserted the new ones as the needle is hidden away to start with and then folded out using the device. I did the older style one without the device and had no issues
