Hypos, rude people, ignorance and grey days.
This is the first time i've ever completely forgotten if I took it this morning - i'm normally do a regular routine but had a night time hypo so head was foggy this morning - i've taken it just now - but what could the potential consequences be if I have taken it twice ? I have to go out for a meeting after lunch so hoping with some regular testing I can work out if i've double dosed or not - anyone done the same ?

What a doughnut head...

Like you said, probably best to check regularly and double check you have stuff with incase of hypo.

Never double dosed but did go away for a night a few weeks ago and forgot to take my Lantus with me.

Diabetes is a juggling act so its perfectly natural to forget or get muddled up once or twice.

Thanks for that - felt a right plonker !

Have tested and they have gone up so I know I haven't taken it twice, just a moment of panic set in thinking what would happen - would I have to feast on Mar bars to prevent hypos... I wish.. !!

did that last week, rushed out of the house in the morning to catch an early train, and had to finish packing.

Nothing drastic happened apart from a slow rise towards 8.0,which I corrected at my evening meal with novorapid

Hate it when this happens and I'm thankful that Novo Nordisk do the NovoPen Echo for Novorapid insulin, you can get a device that fits on most pens including basal insulin's and it's called Timesulin, might be worth splashing out a few pounds for:

Thank you Noblehead, will definitely do that, was fairly nerve wracking this morning don't fancy a repeat of that !
