Hi All
Can't work this out. I'm not wearing my Libre and hating not having all the data available to view!
Trying to bring my BG down after a weekend of something clearly going wrong and waking up at 15.9 this morning.
Not sure why my BG is staying bang on 10.8 even though I have corrected 1.5 hours ago ... ?
Confused<----
Thanls, I'll try changing my insulin this eveningHave you tried changing your insulin cartridges?
Also many type 1's find that when their bg levels are in double figures they become more insulin resistant, so it takes more QA insulin to bring bg levels back down to normal levels.
It's a sausage from the work canteen. I've tried to ask them to check the carb content before but it all got too confusing for themI concur with the other guys regarding what you should check. The other question is how much sausage did you have and what was the carb content? I tend to count any sausage that is not one I've bought as 9g of carbs due to being usually 5-6g of carbs per sausage and 5-6g of protein.
Fair enough. Ours are normal fat sausages, hence my estimate. It's a sausage from the work canteen. I've tried to ask them to check the carb content before but it all got too confusing for them
They are really small, like half the size of a Walls sausage, so I thought 6g would be a good start.
Any sign of your Libre order Tim?
Ah OK cool I didn't realise that. I always try to get it down fast. ThanksI would have thought that if you came down to 10.8 within 90 mins that was ok... That was a drop of 5!! You should aim to be at target level at 5 hours not 2 hours.
Wld change insulin...

7.9 now..... getting thereIf you are at target level 2hrs after correcting you are likely to crash before 5 hours...
If not back to target at 5 hours then you'll also know it could be cartridge or incase of pumps.. The pump or that when you are above 12.0 then your correction factor may need a little extra.. Then finally.. You may be coming down with something.
If I've ate something before going higher I can pretty much guarantee its a wrong carb/fat/protein guestimate..
Hope you are nearer target now!! X
Depends on the individual - I've found that (thanks to the LIbre) with Novorapid it tends to become inactive after about 3.5 hours, so that's my target. If you are at target level 2hrs after correcting you are likely to crash before 5 hours...
