These are smaller but that amount of carbs is still more than a dinner for me!

So would 50g of carbs for 3 daily meals and 2 snacks of 20g be reasonable?

Well I started at 50 gm of carbs per day, and have gone down from that - at 50 gm of carbs per meal I'd not be in the normal ranges and would have no chance of ever being in control of my blood glucose.
