Does that mean that as i produce little Insulin of my own if i was to stop injecting and just let my sugar levels go mad i would loose weight? I guess that would be a bit of a stupid thing to do but it was just a thought lol

If you let your diabetes go out of control, You WILL lose weight, but you'll suffer for it with complications
Some years ago, I read about a teenaged girl who stopped taking her insulin to get fashionably skinny. she suceeded in that, but lost her sight too.
Weight loss is a symptom of uncontrolled diabetes and often one of the first signs of T1.It was in my husban's case. He lost a couple of stone in almost no time. That's how i knew to send him to the doctor[as well as the drinking fluids and peeing!]
