A Anonymous Guest Jun 2, 2012 #2 Hi Lucy It's because milk has lactose which is a sugar = carbohydrate. Cheese would still have a small amount of carbs... but a lot less than milk because they are higher in protein and fat content. Butter is probably just mainly fat, so probably no carbs.
