Evening fellow carnivores. Animal August going well so far. Appetite seems to be resetting and far easier to discern Real hunger without all the triggers. 0.7kg down and enjoying some great food. Tonight was a ribeye in a steakhouse run by an ex-colleague and her partner. Delicious.

Looks good and well done on the losses.. I'm thankfully back below 200 pounds this morning...
Just had sweetbreads, liver and bacon. First time I've cooked sweetbreads.. kind of ok although not sure I'd rush back..
I have eaten them years ago in the UK, ithey were mported from NZ they used to come in 1 lb containers where I worked. I was never fussed on them, similar texture to brains if I remember rightly.First time I've cooked sweetbreads.. kind of ok although not sure I'd rush back..
Make sure you cook your liver, there are all sorts of parasite nasties in the raw stuff, have a look at liver flukes on Google for one of them.Never had sweetbreads and haven’t been able to develop a taste for liver. Need to work on that.
Make sure you cook your liver,
I am the same, I have seen to many things in my time in the meat industry that you would not want to eat.No chance of me eating raw meat of any description![]()
Which FB group ? I hadn't seen that one..This popped up on a carnivore page on FB. Definitely on my list.

Still not something I'd do .. silicon cookware all round..Metal utensils are fine on hard anodised cookware. I'd not use a knife, but a spoon, as she was doing would be highly unlikely to do any harm. That said, it wasn't clear if it was non-stick or hard anodised.

now they look great!

Tried some of these tonight in a taste test against local butcher sirloin
https://warrendale-wagyu.co.uk/product/exclusive-offer-wagyu-sirloin-x-10/
They were cut a bit thin for my tastes but cooked up very well and were extremely tender with a buttery steaky flavour.
Not cheap although at just under £36 a kilo compare well to most supermarket steaks (the one from the local butcher was £19 per kilo so a lot cheaper).
Next time I'd go for a chunk of sirloin and cut my own thicker steaks but for a treat (its our 11th wedding anniversary) they were well worth it.
Thanks dearest xHey, congrats on the anniversary!
