Hi. I've was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes nearly 10 years ago. There have been the inevitable ups and downs but I pretty much have it under control, with Metformin and insulin. I was on 26 units twice a day but had a few hypos so found a balance and was taking 22 twice daily, which the nurse agreed. My readings are anything between 5 and 10 which the nurse says are acceptable and my last HBa1c was 53, again satisfactory for the nurse. About 2 weeks ago, I started taking Cetrazette Progesterone only pill, and over the last couple of days I have noticed my blood readings have gone up significantly - yesterday before dinner was 14.2, increased insulin to 26 due to high reading, had jacket potato and salad for dinner and 2 hours later had gone up to 17.1, averaging at 11.2 over the last 7 days (previously about 8) I have done nothing differently, eaten as I usually do, walked the dog etc and was wondering if the pill may have caused this rise? Thanks Sarah
