I think I remember one poster saying that they didn't like or use a cgm, but most people seem to love them, unless they are some of the few whose bodies react poorly and they develop allergies and/or the cgm doesn't give them reliable readings. (The two tend to go together, at least in my experience of the libre 1. )
But I get the impression that you are suffering from a bit of diabetes overload and/or burnout
@Neckarski_94 ? Are you checking your bg every 5 minutes? That may not be helping your mental health?
Would it help to not be discouraged when your figures are out of range, but think of them as data so that your diabetic team can work out your personal insulin requirements and ratios? Everyone needs different amounts of insulin, so it takes time to work out your individual needs.
As long as you get symptoms of hypos, I suppose you don't
have to use a cgm, but you'd need to do a lot more fingerprick tests than you do now and you might well decide that you'd prefer to go back to the cgm. Unfortunately ignoring diabetes doesn't make it go away.
And that cgm data will help your team tweak your insulin doses.... (And once you have the knowledge and experience, it'll help
you tweak your doses.)
I may love my new insulin pump, but I love my cgm more...
