BG up and down and now I have lost trend arrows! Will the arrows come back once my BG settles? IMG_2546.png

WHY is my BG rising still?? Is my CGM broken?? I think a finger prick is needed!! IMG_2550.png

Hi, I’m not a Dexcom user.
But the tail end of your 24h graph seems a little random.

I would double check with a blood test meter.
How long have you been wearing this sensor?

This is how long I have left! IMG_2551.png

When did you last take insulin and how much?
When did you last eat, and what did you eat?
This morning at 8am and 6 units. About half 8 and 2 Shredded Wheat and a bit of low sugar granola and I added a few mixed nuts. Then I went for a walk after.

I did a finger prick and BG meter was reading 14.9. CGM was 16.1. I’m currently 13.3 CGM
The cgms can be slightly (a few minutes) delayed compared to the glucometer and a reading of 14.9 is less than 10% out from a reading of 16.1, so I'd reckon that your cgm is reasonably accurate.

It may just be that you need to talk to your team about your doses.

I’m not seeing my Diabetes nurse again until 10 July!

If it was the early stages or first few hours on a Libre?
I’d say it was bedding in & trying to chop sense into the data from the interstitial fluid.
Your Dexcom on the 24h graph posted is showing some random trend even though it ties in with your meter.
I can only assume the trend arrow missing is because the app can’t determine where you are heading with the current recent data.

I’ll tag in @Juicyj who uses a Dexy, who might help.

Glad to see you’ve come back into range…

I'd try ringing them or emailing them and asking for a phone call back.
I don’t want to be ringing them constantly! They will get fed up of me! Don’t want to be a nuisance!

Early in diagnosis it's completely normal to be in contact with your diabetes nurse on adjusting your doses at least once a week.
You're not being a nuisance, you're anewly diagnosed with a complex condition who needs guidance in finding the right dose of medication.

You're not being a nuisance, you're newly diagnosed and should be getting supported by them, after all it's their job, and also they will be used to newly diagnosed people needing more contact than those of us who have been diagnosed for years. I generally rarely contact the hospital team, but when I first got a pump, I needed more contact for a bit.

From my perspective, I’ve been using insulin for a few decades.
For the HCP’s sake they need assurance I know what I’m playing at…

If your newly diagnosed? It would be in their best interests to keep contact.
