Cgm Petition On Nhs

Well said, donnellysdogs, there is no equality. It is about time NHS England got their act together and sorted this out. You are obviously exceptional and should not have to go through all the stress and lengthy process of having to prove this through Individual Funding Request route. There won't even be a Diabetologist on the panel.

Quite right, there isn't a diebetologist.. Quote from their policy" Should have as a minimum 4 members- 2 medically qualified, both of which will be a GP member and a pharmaceutically qualified member.".....doesn't even say who the 4th person would be...

It is probably a Lay Member or Public Health Specialist. Diabetes is such a complex condition I dont see how they can make a proper judgement without a specialist in diabetes care.

This Panel though is just a "drugs" or "non drugs"
Panel.... Dependent upon needs...

This isn't just me that is going through this..

Its limited as well- the Consultant has to state how many patients he's put forward before.. So if he's allowed 6 and I / You are number 7 - well its an outright "no".

This procedure isn't just me.. Its 2 out of 3 CCG's at least. I've had 3 CCGs in 5 years. One 5 years ago was and remains brilliant along with knowledgeable Pump consultants and nurses. The other 2 CCG's are dire.. Not just for diabetes but also cancer.

I no longer have my dogs, as they passed on but I would not have trusted my dogs healrh with the last two CCG's.

In fact you have prompted me (thankyou) to find out if the best performing CCG for patients is deeper in the red financially or the other two!!! Thanks for prompting me. I can request this info under the freedom of info act and can ask for details relating to just diabetes etc...thanks for the prompt!!

I fail to see how anybody gets granted anything you have to jump through so many hoops, so to speak. Each CCG seems to have a different policy, although of late there seems to be a bit of shift in the amendments to the NHS Englands policy and it mentions a move to a nationally recognised policy as opposed to regional. Yes, it will be interesting if you can find out anything from the Freedom of infomatipn.
