TO RUN THE MARATHON IN MEMORY OF BROTHER ADAM, AND TO RAISE MONEY FOR DIABETES
WWW.JUSTGIVING.COM/JAMESSHOOBERT
Local Basildon boy James Shoobert is facing the challenge of a lifetime as he gears up to run the London Marathon on 26th April 2009.
James, 24, will be donning his shorts and running 26.2miles to raise money for The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
The hardwork will all be worth while for James if he succeeds in raising £1500 for JDRF. James' brother Adam Shoobert died when he was 20 years old, after slipping into a diabetic coma as a result of diabetic ketoacidosis.
James' father, John Shoobert, has said;
"these young people need the support and guidance of the JDRF. I know there are many deserving charities for other causes that also need financial help, but we do tend to support those which we have an emotional tie. I ask that all those who can afford to, to support James in his quest to raise much needed funds for the JDRF"
James is hoping that the local community will support him in his marathon challenge. "Even a few pounds will make a huge difference and mean the JDRF can continue their invaluable work supporting young children with diabetes".
You can sponsor James by visiting his online fundraising page on:

The money will directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
