I'm sure there's more.
Blood glucose levels gone from an average of 7 to 8 throughout the day to an average of 15!
Quite alarming but that's what infection does so I'm posting this in case anyone is worrying.
Yeah bad news for your averages at the surgery that you've worked so hard on.
This chest infection that's going around seems to be UK wide.

I have it but although my bg is up, it's only up from average 5 to 6 to 7 to 8.
Sugar loaded cough syrups and throat lozenges aren't helping bg of course.
Strepsils do a sugar free strawberry flavour but doesn't seem very effective on cough. Have resorted to honey, at least its natural and hopefully only short term.

Hope you feel better soon

Thanks for concern.
I'm taking no medicines syrups etc beyond my normal herbs and spices and a little whiskey.

Thank you so much for this thread! I was worried about my numbers being up, but of course the current bug is contributing! Phew. :)
Still got to watch the carbs of course, and bug means less exercising temporarily, which also doesn't help.
Here's to us all feeling better soon!

Here's from freezing cold North Wales in the UK and the infection has gone!
Numbers today have been around the 7 mark.
The rest of the family still struggling with the bug and I put my early recovery down to two things... the pneumonia shot I had two years ago in place of the Covid shots and my daily use of spices... especially Ginger and Cayenne pepper.
Keep warm and dry everyone!

Missus had similar, hers just brewing.

A big believer in root ginger tea, some fresh lemon & a little honey.

Sliced ginger ,boiled then simmered 15 mins, sieved like tea, slice & a squeeze of lemon, one small spoon of honey, has been my go to most of the last few days for her.

Cold/bug gone ..and never really arrived I'm glad to say .

Good to hear you're back to feeling better too.

Ginger great for bronchial congestion
