Chest pain in Diabetes

Messages

Type of diabetes
Don't have diabetes
Treatment type
I do not have diabetes
Just read about several conserns on chest pain .
Most Diagnoses were simplified to Panick Attacks.
a More Scientific Diagnoses could also be pursued.

Diabetic Gastro Pareses.
- Lots of Theories around it.
- You can read on and also ask your Diabetic Specialist for more detail.
- Most often believed cause would be, Ketones- induced relaxation of the Stomach ,
- precipitating the onset of the pain sequelae.
- If Panick follows and make it persist, would be a guess.
- Maybe a trial of Medicine to promote Gastric emptying with extra fibre to promote bowel motility,
- could be worth a try- If not an Ativan in emergency situations always takes away the worst feeling of DOOM!
Just something to think about.

You've read about chest pain. Could I ask where?

This is your first post to the forum, it is really difficult to understand the sense, as it is so poorly written.

Your by line suggests you "Don't have diabetes".

I wish you well.

Are you quite sure that advocating taking a benzo is a good idea *in an emergency situation* involving chest pain?

This post above seems to be completely out of the blue. It is not grounded in any expressed concerns and advocates a treatment as you point out Guzzler is 'unwise'.
One should see a doctor if a suspiciou chest pain exists. One would sooner be wrong than dead.

I have given it some thought but Ativan is something I would never take for me and others like me it would be foolish in the extreme. So thanks for your suggestion but no thanks.

Agree ref chest pain... only persons to treat should be doctors/hospitals.

With gastroparesis the worst thing you can do is to eat fibre...... it does not promote bowel motility at all. Pain is not in your chest either...

I am concerned that your first posting is not factual or accurate.

Are you having chest pains or panic attacks or just taking the pppppppppppppppp?

I used to have chest pains, it was caused by low vitamin D causing muscle pain - in particular headaches, but later shoulder and chest pain too. I also constantly panic about everything and sometimes makes my chest feel tight.

If you get chest pains and you don't know why (eg you weren't experiencing anxiety at the time) then ask your doctor about it.
