Anyone tried eating these? I read they can be of benefit to lowering BG. Something to do with capsaicin? Not sure if i could handle them though

I dont munch them whole as I have a certain respect for my insides, but I do eat a lot of chilli peppers be it in curries, piri piri chicken, burgers, chilli con carne, not thought about this but the list is endless.

Yes I eat a lot of chilli peppers :D

If food can make you BG rise, there's a kind of logic that some should lower it, sadly I haven't found anything that does lower it.... I have tried cinnamon, cider vinegar.

Nothing works except maybe a glass fo red wine ...now where's that bottle.....

Ooof!

Nothing like a well balanced, impartial study which directly relates to real life :-)

After 800 cals/day liquid meals for a month I'm surprised that anyone's metabolism could be taken as representative!
[Unless of course I am misreading the report]

However chilis are generally reported to increase metabolism so the jalfrezi diet will be my next big thing.
Although the side effects may be a little uncomfortable ;-)

Cheers

I eat chilli in food 'cos I love it. I have heard that they lower BG... I always put fresh chilli in food!

Dunno about eating them on their own, though.

I quite like the ones that come in Antipasti that are stuffed with cream cheese.
