Type 2 Chocolate

Aldi also sometimes do 25g bars of Moser Roth Colombian Dark Chocolate. The Quinoa and Orange flavoured one is my favourite at <4g carb per bar. I stock up when they appear as they are one of the special offers.

You can also make your own [low-carb] chocolate by melting together cacao butter & cocoa powder, pouring into moulds and allowing to set in the fridge. I've done this on a few occasions and it's lush.

How much of it should you eat?

Well I hardly touch the stuff anymore because I eat almost exclusively animal produce, but last time I indulged I was able to eat a 100g bar in two sittings with no measurable rise in blood glucose. I felt a bit sick afterwards though :***:

Now I prefer an egg.

I have, at most two squares a day, if that helps.
I found some 95% chocolate before Christmas, and bought eight bars, and about half of it is left, so obviously I do not have chocolate every day but I don't keep track and ration it, just have some when I fancy it.
