Cholesterol vs Blood Glucose

Hi @Omar51

As you’ve posted in the pre-diabetes forum I assume you have pre-diabetes. If that’s the case, I’d say that managing your blood glucose and keeping that on track is the most important thing you can do for your health.

Is there something behind your question? Are you concerned about your cholesterol? If you give a bit more context there are some members with a lot of knowledge in this area who may be able to help. In the meantime, there’s a very detailed thread on this site which gives a lot of information about cholesterol - well worth a read: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/cholesterol-and-statins.156985/
Hi Goonergal: Thanks for the help and info, I checked that Cholesterol thread and it's lot of useful information! In the meantime I posted my Cholesterol test results, which i think look fine. Omar

Hi Barry & everyone,
I’ve just logged on for the first time to research for my wife who has the Type 2 for over 10 years now and whose doctor is concerned about her recent HBA1C results. It’s the science that counts and feel that you would get something out of the reviewing the link and all the additional content that you can watch. We’re all paying the price for simply all the misleading information we’ve literally been fed for generations. Anyway, it’s not for me to tell the story I’ll leave it for the Doctors and Professors to explain and for you to make of it what you will. Good luck.
Hi again,
Another link that outlines how we’ve all been misled over time and the reasons for it. Well worth a watch.

In my mind they are not opposed targets - good BG and good cholesterol. The thing to note is that good cholesterol doesn't mean LOW cholesterol.

Adding eggs and yoghurt such as Greek type to your diet along with cheese and meat may raise your HDL (good cholesterol) and therefore your total, and will not impact on BG. The aim is to remove the LDL sources of cholesterol which are normally in processed foods which are also the ones bad for your BG. A win-win!
After getting my Cholesterol test results, I read your post again and you are on the money, my Cholesterol test look better, Thanks for sharing your experience.
