@lizdeluz I'm sure I had the projector thingy.
Indoor fireworks, anyone? The curly snake that grew from a pellet on the dining table.

Yes, it does sound very very clunky now, but I remember thinking it was pretty clunky at the time, though I also did like it. I liked the fact that you could project the slides very big and very crazily on the front room walls.
Yes, I remember indoor fireworks. They were a fantastic menace, and I think my Dad was in charge, plus Mum and Dad were also in charge when I was playing with toy oven. I was a quiet child so I guess it didn't occur to them to buy presents that would keep me quiet.:D

I had a toy oven which baked real cakes too! You could buy the cake mix too. Strawberry and chocolate flavours. Lovely chemical taste:hungover: but as a kid it tasted great! :D

I remember in the early 70's I got this tool kit that was a true mini version of the real thing, it wouldn't pass health and safety now...it was lethal lol. Well after sawing some door knobs off with my hacksaw I have vague memories of getting a sore botty on Xmas day lol. Space hoppers and all that...such golden memories

We had the indoor fireworks, you can still buy them they did use to fill the room with lots of smoke

I do remember those awful indoor fireworks they were an anticlimax lol. Watching the dog and cat receiving their wee prezzies was so touching...aww

Gosh yes space hoppers ....

I always used to get a satsuma and a packet of polos in my stocking. I remember 1 year i had to sleep on a camp bed in my parents room. I smuggled a torch into my sleeping bag and tried to open my stocking at about 3am before getting moaned at for making too much noise. I thought i was being so quiet!

Snap!! Except I ended up with a tooth abcess and was also a crying, moaning minnie in my sleeping bag on the camp bed.
What I always wondered was... Why out of 3 children was it always me that ended up in the camp bed in parents room!!!

Those clacketty ball things on ropes that got banned... I loved mine.
Also my jungle book red coloured single record..cant remember the actual somg but know it was a red vinyl 45.. Now showing my age.

I always secretly coveted roller skates but never had any. Have I missed the boat now, I wonder?
I always wanted those sparkly transparent plastic high-heel shoes with sparkly elastic straps to keep them on, too, but I didn't manage ever to get my hands on those either.
Dad made us a dolls house and a farmyard, so sometimes we got farm animals and furniture. They were brilliant, small scale and detailed, a flock of geese or a tiny box of cutlery!

It was always me. I was the youngest of 3.

There was a time when Pelham puppets were the 'in' thing We used to put on little plays with them at school.
I really really wanted a witch with an opening mouth for Christmas . Sadly, the factory burned down that year . My parents couldn't get one but they managed to find a devil . He wasn't the same thing at all to me though. (Google tells me the fire was in 1961 so I was 9)
I've still got my puppets in a box in the attic alongside the ones I bought for my children when they were young.

They were great. My sister had Hansel of Hansel and Gretel fame, and I had a 'Dutch Boy'! Hansel had a moulded face and features and a big smirk. Dutch Boy had a tennis-ball shaped head and a tidy smile. I decided the factory must be going downhill. :D Skill was needed to get them to walk well. I liked those iconic yellow cardboard boxes. I think Dutch Boy is still in our current loft.
