Type 1 Claiming money back for self funding libre sensors!

Hi, I have recently been given the freestyle libre sensors to help control of my type 1 diabetes on prescription after nearly 1.5 years of trying. I had been self funding them for that time. I heard somewhere that it maybe possible to claim money back for what I outlaid whilst self funding (with receipts direct from freestyle). Does anybody know if there is any truth in that, and if so how do I go about claiming it back?

Don't believe there is anyway of claiming it back (though I could be wrong).
I know I was self-funding for about 2 years before getting them on prescription, I just treated it as a pay rise when I did finally get it on prescription
