our ccg invited interested diabetics to a meeting to discuse how we would like our clinics to be run and how we could improve our care.It was poorly attended due i think to lack off publicity but the ones that were there came up with some interesting view points.Two people who have just been diagnosed told of their experinances one was told by her gp to go home and look up diabetes on line she had not been offered eye test or foot care.Luckily we had some hcp with us who took this onboared and will help her to get the tests she is intitled to .Our views will be taken back to our ccg hope we have helped in a small way they will email us of any feed back.
