Co-codamol and Gliclazide

Can I still take Gliclazide if I'm on co-codamol for pain relief?

Hi sorry we can’t advise on medication or treatments on the forum, it’s best to speak to your local pharmacist they will be able to tell you anything you need to know, I find pharmacists much more knowledgeable meds wise than the GP. just give them a quick call I’m sure they’ll be happy to help

Hi KindredSpirit, i'm type 2 diabetic on diet and tablet control, I take Gliclazide, but don't take co-codamol, but I do take Zapain for pain relief and they both have the same active ingredients. But if you do have any queries, please do speak to a pharmacist or GP.

I'm on 8 x 30/500 co-codomol a day and 3 x 80mg Gliclazide 1 am and 2 pm, works OK with me

I've never seen anything that suggests these are in conflict. Do some Googling about any contras. When I was on Gliclazide for many years (full dose) I took Co-codamol quite often. Also ask a pharmacist.
