I was diagnosed as prediabetic and i am not on any medicine yet. I follow the advices from fellow friends in this forum and take in low carbs food only. My morning BG less than 5.6.
Since diagnosed with prediabetic my morning coffee or tea is without sugar and cream powder. I don't really like it. Can I add some fresh cow milk to my coffee or tea? Any advices or suggestions?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with cream powder. Have a look at the carbohydrate content...how does that compare with amount of fresh milk that you would be using?
I can't say that full fat milk that I use in my coffee/tea effect my blood sugars..nor fresh cream. If fresh is what you prefer...try and see what happens..if it has effect to you blood sugars..trial again but with reduced quantity.

Hi. Although milk has a little sugar in it the amount is very small. I would have milk in any form that suits you. Don't worry about the fat in cream or milk. I think cream power (creamer) may be high in carbs so read the packing.

Thanks for the advices. I think I have to monitor how the fresh milk in coffee affect my BG level.

If you can get it I use double cream instead of milk.. only 1.6 g of carb per 100 compared to milk at 5g per 100.
Plus it tastes very nice indeed.. I usually cut it with unsweetened soya milk in a latte.

I use double cream or Alpro unsweetened almond milk (neither of which have as many carbs as milk), or occasionally a mixture of both. The cream definitely tastes better though. If you do use milk, make sure it's the full cream type - and not the skimmed or semi-skimmed ones.
