Cold Feet

Yes, my hands and feet are regularly cold! But like Kate, I've found that came with weight loss for the most part.

Are your feet just cold or slightly numb/tingly?

About 6 months ago my right foot felt like it was not part of me... cold or what... and over the previous 18 months I lost about 25 kg, which has"flattened" out... and now the foot is not so bad. Foot pulses were fine according to my podiatrist...
GP was simply without a clue...
It's not good and I hope yours clears.

Hi my friend who is T2 complains of cold feet all the time, I'm T2 and I feel cold all over . I have lost weight since starting LCHF but my friend is on meds and she lost a lot of weight so it probably is due to the weight coming off . I wish the warmer weather would hurry up

I've lost 32kgs since diagnosis and wear fingerless merino gloves to/from work on all but the coldest days when I wear full length merino gloves.

My beanie is my friend too, and at home I wear socks or slippers to stop my toes getting cold.

Normal pulse, good blood flow etc but I think it's more weight loss than anything that has had the effect.

Invest in good gloves, socks and slippers. They're worth it!

Wear 2 pairs of all cotton socks, the thinner the better.
I'm just cold everywhere, especially hands. Even when I'm sweating buckets, inside warm outside cold.

I was diagnosed T2 4 months ago (no idea how long I might have had it before that, had no symptoms). I have lost 10 Kgs on a very low carb diet and exercise ( I am fittest I have been in 20 years). In the last 2/3 weeks my finger tips and toes are freezing, I cant seem to warm the up, I live in Africa, it winter but still around 15 degrees at the coldest. I am happy to see it is normal but wondering if it is sign of bad circulation and a sign or worse things to come???

I have t2, diagnosed about 5 yrs ago. My useless gp put me on victoza. My bg continued to be really high about 19 / 20 at each test during the day. When i mentioned this. All he said was 'it will sort itself out' and 'do more exercise'. Really helpful, but expecting my gp to know more than me i continued with the victoza. Changed doctors 6mnth ago. New gp horrified at the and immediately put me novamix insulin. Thankfully my bg is at around 5 / 6. And i feel a lot better. However, consistant high bg has left mr with permanent neuropathy, which is SO painful. I now have to take tramadol each day. So please don't leave cold feet thinking it will get better. Get it checked. Coz when you loose use of feet, you looze your independence. Oh and never trust gp or nurse totally. Remember this is for life. Good luck

Sorry everyone, my feet feel lovely and warm most of the time, like standing on underfloor heating. However, as for the rest of my little underweight bag of bones..... (teeth chatter). I often wear gloves in summer for warmth. I now know how my poor old mum felt.

My feet are constantly cold as are my hands and more so in the wi ter they're that cold they hurt I know everyone gets cold in the winter but I'm left with stinging hands and feet that I wear 2 pairs if socks an gloves and I'm still sore with the cold.

I feel cold during the day then sweat like buggery at night when I got to bed. I have to have a fan blowing all night long. The only way I could get warm at home was to have a duel fuel stove installed in the living room. Unlike radiators the stove heated everything. The walls, furniture and myself. We don't use the central heating now as the stove does our entire flat.
