Hi my name is Fran I’m new here. I’m type one and have been for 27 years. My questions is does anyones sugar levels get affected by the cold weather? It’s so cold here (UK) and my sugars have been a bit all over the place so I wondered if this happens to anyone else :)

Not for me.
I had an appointment this morning at hospital for something not diabetes related and they checked my sugars. I was frozen still when I got there having scraped ice off the windows beforehand. Reading was 7.7... doesn't get much better than that.
All my other ailments are affected though!

I am type 2. I also have arthritis. All round feel much better in the winter than summer. Blood sugars are certainly lower.

Yes I do usually people's say that their blood sugar's go all over the place by hot weathers but mine happens to be like that in cold weather
