Comics - what did you read?

I was amazed today when I decided to treat my little grandaughter to a comic, she is four years old and apparently the stuff for her age group are now called magazines. We selected one each for her and her sister and shock they cost £3.99 each:eek:
I had already promised she could have one so just had to buy but was disgusted at the cost, they won't be getting them as a treat very often

£3.99 - wow.

Yep, one was Fireman Sam, shame really as the content looked quite good, unfortunately I didn't have specs with me so couldn't read prices. I feel for people with three or four kids as it would be too costly, disgusting really but as usual, companies aiming at kids and Mum's pocket

I know what you mean - anything from holidays to a day trip out. I remember taking the four of us to the zoo once when the kids were small, cost something like £70!
