We are nearer to the Gwent, and get all our care from there. We live within Torfaen Local Health Board. I have joined diabetic steering commitee group thing for Torfean LHB. Which aim to improve diabetic services in the area. So hopefully others won't feel as alone as me.

Katharine,

Many thanks for the lo carb muffin recipe, and the web links.

Donnamum,
I got soya flour from Tesco, not shelved with the other ordinary flours, but with the 'healthfood' stuff. The other stuff I got at Holland and Barrett.

Hi Baked muffins today, minus whey protein powder. Added poppy seeds to first batch and mixed nuts to second. Delicious.

Thanks

Baked a large batch to freeze. Made various different flavours - mint (extract) and choc chip, Apricot, but Cheese and bacon definatly the best.
