Concerned About My Situation

Hi friends, I posted before about suspicions of my disregulated blood glucose.

I was working on getting a diagnosis, which resulted in antibodies being negative. Another endo did some tests
and that resulted in normal levels. After this, and reassurances it is not diabetes, I was working on seeing if things
change by eating lots of vegetables, meats, fats. Something that keeps BGs below 6.7 or so. I was also sent to
psychiatrist and and prescribed some mood-altering drugs. Also tried to get into exercising again and was doing okay.

Usually my meals are protein and fat rich with some carbs but very little. I kept tabs on my BGs which usually stayed
in 5.x range when eating such foods. However, yesterday after the run was different and I had some of my old symptoms
come back: heart racing, sweating and BGs going over 6 with same meals. Dizziness as well.

I know it does not seem too bad but I always get a severe headache after a meal and feel drowsy, just like in January.
Should I be concerned about that? I already visited two endos who think it is not an issue but it literally switches me off: my brain becomes foggy and I cannot concentrate at work.

What would happen if everything was the same but you didn't go for a run? (as a test)

I honestly think you should stop looking for a medical condition linked to blood sugar.

In your other posts have you never mention any reading above 11.2 mmol or symptoms of hypoglycemia, as far as I remember.

As I said before, headache are not a symptom of diabetes. Yes, severe blood sugar flucations can give a headeach, but it is not a common symptom of diabetes.

And why do you want to keep blood sugar below 6.7 mmol, its normal to have blood sugar between 4mmol to 7.8 mmol, even up to 11 mmol in non diabetics. And no reading between 4 and 11 should give symptoms, because it is considered normal and not diabetic.

Also increased heart rate are not normal with either hypo- or hyperglycemia. And high blood sugar does not give dizzieness, it’s hypoglycemia that makes you feel shaky, and thats the complete opposite of diabetes.

All the readings you mention here and in other posts are normal and completely fine. I asked before, and sorry for asking again, but why do you think it is diabetes? None of your blood work indicates diabetes or other blood sugar related conditions. Have you been tested for anything else beside diabetes?

Yes, another factor to consider is that digital monitors for blood pressure somewhat regularly shown higher than normal blood pressure. I am not sure how it works. For the past two weeks, I ate usual meals and never had issues. I did a couple of measures during the week staying around 5.5 after meals. However, since yesterday the BGs were higher and one of the blood pressure measurements was quite high. I wonder if I have some blood pressure issue which then shoots up glucose levels and scare me. Just for the last two weeks I ran around 5 km without much issue but I am back to feeling out of breathe since yesterday just by walking.

I think it is worth mentioning to the doc. The only thing that changed was weather, it is sunny and hot right now. I also had some kidney pain from cold showers after runs. My mother started having BP issues quite young so I would not be surprised there is some heritability going on. I am just confused why docs do not pay attention to this because elevated BP is not good.

I am not asking for diagnosis but I shall investigate because the headache is quite bad right now.

Blood sugar higher than 5.5 mmol are normal. When you mention kidney pain after running it sound more psychical than physical. How do you know you have kidney pain, when it is normal to get side stitches when exercising.

Blood pressure do not elevate blood sugar, and why do you always try to convince yourself that you have blood sugar issues, when every test tells you’re not. I honestly think it is more psychical, because your blood sugar are neither high or abnormal.

You should really stop thinking you’re blood sugar are abnormal or high, because it is perfectly normal. There is other causes for your health concerns, and blood sugar are not it.

I have to agree with Emile above: these readings and symptoms do not seem typically indicative of diabetes-quite the opposite in fact. I wish you all the best in identifying and rectifying your condition; a return to the medical professionals, and a new look at your symptoms should be the way ahead. Good luck!

Seem to have similar issue. This morning it did repeat, and I was not training.
I doesn't sound diabetes related, I would be suspecting a food allergy as the next cause to consider. Remember I'm NOT a doctor though! Try a complete change of food as a test.
