I'm going to a concert next week and it's my first proper one since I was diagnosed. I was just wondering what I will need to bring with me? I don't want anything too bulky as I'm standing and it's a small venue. Thanks!

Take plenty of dextrose tablets and put them in different pockets in case they fall out or get pushed out in the squash. If you're going with a friend then giving them a packet to take too is good. I once got so crushed at a concert, I couldn't get my hand in my pocket to get my glucose out, but luckily my friend could reach the packet I gave her!

i also take some diabetic ID if I'm carrying my meter or sharps.

good advice from azure.
i take rowntree's fruit pastilles when i go to gigs.

if you try to take luzozade in a bottle it might get confiscated( almost for sure)

I have always taken dextrosols with me. Also never had a problem with carrying a Novopen in. No one looks at it as it looks like a pen.

Once took a Mars bar to a hardcore punk gig... ended up as mush in my pocket!! For the couple of hours your there I wouldn't worry, but all dayers/ festival's, go fully prepared..
