Or Doctor confused...
i had a missed call from my doctor at 5.00pm today, phoned straight back and spoke to the receptionist, who said my last blood test was back (for colestorol). but she said they miss labeled it but my result where 'normal'. Normal how i asked???. Oh erh you need to re do them.
Now that askes many questions, how normal is normal? how do they mislabel my blood? am i diabetic? The last one unfortunatly will probably be yes, but we live in hope don't we.
All i know for sure is my mmol was between 20-25 pre christmas/ post christmas, and i have since diagnosis on the 30/12 hit the healthy living hard, i am now happy with my BG levels, but work still to do, my mmol has not gone above 6.9 for around 5days.
Yesterday i had a not so healthy day, Macdonald big brekkie, 1/2 bottle of tropicana, sunday roast 1pt beer, 1/2 a yorkshire pud, followed by diabetic ice cream and a small full sugar wafer.my AM mmol was 6.8, tested before the roast at 2.30pm and was 5.8, two hours later tested again and was 5.9, which confuses me, why the 0.1 increase? i would have expected to be pushing double figures, had cereal mid evening, tested at 11.15pm and 6.7mmol, this morning 6.9, 5.30pm today 5.2.
Have i managed to get fairly stable, and heading in the right direction? can i expect problems in the future?
i did have the shakes again this weekend, not as bad as before or lasted as long. so that seems ok to me now.
i do feel in control, but like bull riding, i feel i could get thrown at any time, that is my fear, i believe i have had it easy, possibly too easy? and i am just waiting for that curve ball to knock me off my feet!
