hi all went out yesterday flat iron steak london had steak salad small bit of mash water . when got home BS 6.4 . later that evening had 6 crabsticks touch mayo.this morning had few walnuts done 5 mile walk 40 mins gym. come home check BS 10.7 shocked any ideas or help many thanks
 
Exercise affects blood Glucose in ways that can be difficult to predict in the short term. Vigorous exercise can often raise BG in the short term as your liver dumps glucose into the bloodstream to keep up with the energy you are using, just like it does every morning for those who have noticeable Dawn Phenomenon (both in diabetics and non-diabetics). It may be that your liver over-compensated, which should become less of a problem as you become fat adapted (assuming that you are low carbing).

Muscle building exercise (with weights for example) tend to be best for lowering BG in both short term and longer term since it is non-aerobic, using less energy plus extra muscle means extra storage for glucose outside of the bloodstream.
 
As well as your liver deciding you might have needed a bit more glucose, it's possible that you got a rogue reading. Glucometers are only expected to be accurate to within 15% of the true value, 95% of the time. So a true value of 7.0 could return readings of anywhere between 6 and 8, and it would be acceptable. Plus one in 20 might be totally off.

Example - did a test a week or two back and got a reading of 2.2. Obviously wrong, as I was still conscious, so retested and got a 5ish. Moral of the story is not to get hung up on a single reading. If you see a pattern of higher readings, that makes meter error much less probable.
 
Can't help with the BG levels but thought I'd mention that crabsticks are often high in carb as they are crab flavour, not crabmeat.
I used to eat them decades ago until I saw the nutritional info on the box.
 
lunch toady 2 boiled eggs with 1 avacado tiny bit mayo mixed up , put in 2 low carb wraps . had a flat white coffee do now again 3 hours later BS 9.7 still high . i do low carb high protein usally all ok .thanks for replies
