Today fasting BG was 7.8 bit higher than usual but still only 6 weeks post diagnosis. Babybel eaten to keep me going until breakfast as I was doing an early morning swim. Swam for half an hour returned home and had breakfast (total 6 carbs) PP reading at two hours 6.8. Went to friends for lunch walked there, which is all up hill for about 10 mins. Lunch with a glass of wine then coffee (conservative carb estimate at 10) walked home briskly. PP reading at 2 hrs 7.8 which I know is ok but when I checked just now PP at 3 it was 7.9! Where have my 5s and 6s gone. Feel fine in other respects all suggestions gratefully received!!!

As long as they are an acceptable level not to worry.
Sometimes when we exercise our livers decide we need some glucose top up, and readings go up for no obvious reason. Its like the Dawn Phenomenon, only during the day time!
You may find that your BG spikes at certain times of the day. Take resadings, gigure out your natural profile. It takes time.

Your readings look pretty good to me.

the difference between 7.8 and 7.9 is immaterial. It's well within the margin of error of a blood glucose machine.
that number is pretty good for a newbie.
I am in the process of questioning the 2 hour reading. I don't know why that time interval was selected to be so important. It's not for any metabolic reason, since the highest Bg is shown to be 1 hour after eating. And if it says that bg should have returned to "base-line" after 2 hours, then "up to 8" is far too high.
