Hi folks
Just new to this and the answer is probably on here already somewhere but I'm just not sure what to look for on the nutrition labels on food at the shops
In particular the max amount of carbs and sugar I should be looking for, it all seems v complicated lol!! Bow I'm type 2
On a side note, are clementines and tangerines ok and if so, how many?
Sorry for all the questions lol but any help would be great
Thanks Steven :-

Hi. Just look at total carbs which will include any sugar. The orange family are fine in sensible amounts but only as the whole fruit not the juice. There isn't a max amount of carbs in any particular food as it depends on the intended portion size. Set yourself a daily carb limit; perhaps 150gm to start with, and work out from that how many carbs each meal portion will give you

Hi grizzly, when looking on the food label disregard the part where it say's "carbohydrates of which sugar is" as all the carbohydrates turn to glucose, just look at the "carbohydrates per serving".
