Hello all,
I have been a type 1 for just under 5 months and i currently use novorapid and lantus.
My ratio of carbs is 1:20g and 1 unit of insulin should drop me down by 4.5mmols.
The problem i'm having is that the insulin i have seems to be less than the amount i need. When i go by my ratio i go a little above normal. Also if im high and i try to correct it, sometimes the insulin doesnt bring my bg levels down at all and sometimes it only brings it down by 2mmols or so even when i inject 2 units.
Could this be because i'm becoming resistant to the type of insulin i'm using or does the ratio change over time?
Any helo would be appreciated!
