Well this has been a very confusing time.
Since confirming my type 2 I've bean been to sure what I can and can't eat? how much I should be eating or even when? This is week 3 now I'm just happy I can't through it.
good thing is I've started to lose a bit of whight which is a good thing ?? (Isn't it) I'm the kind of person that just loves his grub! and I mean love to eat! what ever my dear wife puts in front of me I now go straight to google to ask if I can eat that food!! I'm starting to feel guilty if I eat something that I probably shouldn't be. I don't see the dietician for anther free weeks that'll be my first appointment with her/him? so till then we'll see how nest week pans out ??

You haven't been diagnosed very long, I am wondering why you are going to a dietician.
Do you have something else going on?

Not to my knowledge ? well that is I had a heart attack some years ago in 2009 so I'm tablets for that plus I suffer with colitis so reckon that may have some imput, was told when I started taking metformin it "may" upset my Coliitis but it hasn't been any problem at all. when I was diagnosed T2 it was on the phone because of covid19 so I couldn't go the surgery, I was told I was Very borderline so would be treated as T2 anyway. was put on metformin for three months after this time I should have anther blood test then if needed I would need to see the dietician?

Ok. I was asking because a lot of health care professionals, including dietitians, advise against low carb.

If you are only borderline and type two then you can probably eat some carbs - far more than I can, anyway - so cutting down on the high carb foods, anything with grain, potatoes, root veges, sugary fruits, should put you back in the normal range pretty fast. Protein and fat should be no problem.
