I just wanted to know even though my diabetes is controlled really well is it still normal to experience tiredness near enough everyday?

I certainly feel it every day! Obviously varying degrees and much worse when sugars are a little off but yes definitely you arent alone with the tiredness

I think so, for me anyway. Honestly can't remember the last time I didn't feel totally and utterly shattered.

Hi and welcome to the forum @Barrycastle2381 :)

We can all get tired, but if you are suffering from extreme tiredness on a daily basis then it's worth mentioning to your Dr, some conditions like Anaemia & a Underactice Thyroid can lead to tiredness symptoms.

Thank you i have spoken to my dr and they say i shouldn't be feeling tired but it looks like its normal with diabetes i do have an underactive thyroid so that also doesn't help :(

Hi @Barrycastle2381 yes me too, type 1 and under active thyroid, I tend to be flaked by 6pm, exercise helps and fresh air. As long as all your levels are ok and have been checked ;)

Thank you very much it's horrible isn't it luckily I've got dogs so am out walking most days but can't work as i just feel so exhausted it's very frustrating
