I find it fascinating that dealing with diabetes and other medical issues seems to become bigger than Ben Hur in your life at times. This week just gone was very hard on me mentally and that is because I got yet another fob off from a specialist and then got told I have 2 infections... but one to be treated first, then the other. So I started my week almost having some sort of melt down and feeling lousy at the same time. I had to cancel my physio appointment (treatment for car accident I had just before Christmas) too... but managed to see my GP twice this week. My BGLs have been like a yo-yo all week... but I did notice they pretty much almost went through the roof on Monday afternoon (hit 13) but that's after me crying all morning after a specialist said he couldn't help me and then having half my face aching and feeling very lousy. Then Tuesday I got a bit enthusiastic about getting my sinuses unblocked and trying to avoid antibiotics that by the end of the day I actually had steamed my face along with my sinuses (funny now I look back... and thankfully my face is better now). So Wednesday I'm back at my GP's after work and after having my nose bleed for most of it, part of my face numb, driving was aweful as I was getting motion sickness... I was put straight on antibiotics.
Does anyone else have weeks like this? The down side of diabetes and other medical issues I guess.
