covid-19-trigger-diabetes ?

This has happened to a friend's husband. He was in hospital with covid-19 and developed type 1 diabetes. It's been 14weeks now, so they don't know if it's permanent or not.

I was aware that it could damage organs other than your lungs. It seems reasonable that you could end up diabetic if it damages your pancreas.

One of the things I was asked by my endo if I’d had covid. Interesting.

I understand it can affect all sorts of organs including eyes, kidneys, liver, pancreas, heart, brain.

Not a nice thing to catch.
