I bought some wool to knit myself a jumper several years ago, still not got around to it, I could send it over if you get bored...
I wouldn't even know where to start with knitting! Think I made a squirrel at Primary School once and it ended up looking like a skunk!!
In lockdown/time at home I have however attempted DDIY (don't do it yourself) Too much time on my hands as started noticing cracks around windows, doors and walls but I am like a bull in a china shop and me doing DIY is like something out of The Keystone Cops or Laurel and Hardy! I always end up stepping in/on something and if you ever watch the Norman Wisdom, Bruce Forsyth London Palladium decorating sketch that is me to a tee!!
My Uncle looked for a suspected gas leak with a match. Fortunately he didnt find it
Another school message just came through, the school will be closing on Thursday 17th at 12.30 pm, but I heard it briefly on the news last night. So only 3 1/2 days left for me.

A study in Nature of more than 2,200 intensive care patients has identified specific genes that may hold the answer.
Genetic reasons for severe covid
I'm fairly sure genetics play a massive part in most illnesses but this is certainly interesting. Why do some smokers get lung cancer but some don't? Why do some drinkers suffer liver problems but some don't? Why do some young people get illnesses that only usually affect the older? The list is endless and genetics must play a massive part, like they do with height, eye colour and all the other traits we pick up from our parents!
I found this link interesting, especially 'Super spreaders or Super unlucky ' https://uofuhealth.utah.edu/newsroom/news/2020/08/household-covid19.php
Very interesting indeed. It really is a lottery isn't it which is why it's so unpredictable. Off topic slightly but I watched a film the other night called "Dark Waters". True story about a company in the US who was "allegedly" dumping chemicals in the water that was supplying the town. An unusually high percentage of residents were found to be suffering certain diseases due to the contamination but a lot of people were fine and yet they all drank the same water. Genetics??
Was that the case in the Erin Brockovich film, yes, genetics can play a big part in our lives.
Very similar story. Good film actually, stars Mark Ruffolo. Not a Christmas film mind, but interesting all the same.
